Our Team

We take great pride in our homes and the individuals who live in them. Our staff is highly trained and deeply involved in the recovery community of Sarasota County, and every one of our sober living homes is led by a House Leader.

At Purpose House, we believe that by sharing our experiences, strength, and hope, we maintain and strengthen our own sobriety. Through this shared commitment—along with structure, accountability, in-house meetings, and a supportive community—residents build the resilience they need to overcome the pain of addiction. Our team is devoted to making a positive impact, every single day.

 

Our transitional homes are FARR Level II certified, so our house leaders maintain polices, procedures and protocols. Each home has:

• House rules and curfew, to provide structure

• Peer run groups

• Drug screening

• House meetings

• Involvement in self help and/or treatment services

• A House manager or senior resident

• Policies and procedures that govern our operations

 

Safety and integrity are of our upmost concerns. Our homes are clean and comfortable, and our House Leaders welcome new guests into a supportive, recovery-friendly environment.

But all work and no play makes for dull leadership and jeopardizes recovery. We live, laugh, love, golf, eat pizza, go bowling, have beach parties...the list goes on.  The best revenge on addiction is to enjoy life and live well. 

 

Some of our favorite activities include our annual Christmas tree contest, Super Bowl parties, spiritual retreats, and a river rafting trip down one of Florida's most beautiful fresh water springs. ​

Above all, we keep recovering one day at a time. 12 Step recovery meetings continue to be the foundation of our success.
